Submitted IOS app, now to Android..

So, yesterday I submitted my IOS app, yes! Anxiously waiting for the review. Not sure if it will meet the requiered fancy elements they seem to want, but I used my wedding-photography to spice some things up, so I hope it's pretty enough they will forget all these "needed" extra options, like quizzes, maps and stuff :) Thanks to the amazing help of this site and forum it came out better then I would ever expected. So thank you all :D Now it's time to start with the Android process, and while I thought Apple was a tough one to bite, Android seems to be even worse. Yesterday I spent 3 hours configuring Eclipse and it still doesn't work right. Oh well, maybe it goes better tomorrow :) H.

Congrats on iOS! Stick with it, setup is a bit different but once you are up and running you'll fly through it. All the best.

Thanks! Pretty proud of myself that I did it! I just can't stand the wait for the review, haha :) I hope I'll be able to work it out with Android. Otherwise, Google first, forum second ;)

You'll be cool. The seven day wait is a pain for sure, you'll be cool.

Great job with iOS . I agree the 7 day wait is horrible.. I think it matters if its a paid app or not to see if you have enough bells and whistles.. My last one didn't have much but just some content pages and it was good.. Eclipse is horrible but as it works different for me everytime on whether the emulator even loads. I suggest hooking a phone up and using that.. I took two old android phones hooked them to my wireless for testing even though they are not active phones.. I found that people have them just laying around too. Good luck

It is a paid app.. With a lot of useful content, at least that's what I think ;) We'll see, I'll post an update here. Exactly, the emulator is so slow and not showing anything. I think I'll try to find an Android-phone to test it on. Thanks for the tip!

The emulator takes about 5 min to load or more for me and I cross my fingers that the apk will load which doesn't always happen. For one I ended up uploading just to google play after initial build the going love with a phone .. I would make the changes and refresh then when done I uploaded the final version as a update then advertised release.

The hardest part about Eclipse is the initial installation and setup. Things get easier from there, until you start monkeying with code for the first time. Then they get harder for a bit, but eventually easier than ever before :P

lol - I understand totally. When I started with Buzztouch last August my plan was "I'm going to make apps for other people (for $$) and not have to do any code - this is great!". But, curiosity got the best of me, and here I am :)

Here's a good document on Android from start-to-finish: https://www.buzztouch.com/files/howtos/buzztouch_For_Android-A_Users_Guide.pdf And I have TONS of videos here on how to successfully install Eclipse, and tons of other Android things: https://www.youtube.com/user/GoNorthWest/videos?view=0&flow=grid Any questions, let us know! @GoNorthWest Thanks! I followed the pfd yesterday for 3 hours and still didn't work. Kinda frustrating ;) But I'll try again tomorrow, or later with an Android Phone :)

Go with the videos. They came out with a new Eclipse ADT Bundle which makes installation TONS easier! If you still have problems, let me know (my email is in the doc), and we can get a TeamViewer session going and get you up and running. Mark
