App approved. Politics interest anyone?

Just had an app approved for a client. He's running for the State Senate in California. This is my first with BT Server. This is being released on Android too, so we had to compromise on a couple of features - mainly the rss feed uses rssinclude.com. Also, because of the Android quirks, the YouTube feed launches in the external browser rather than within the app. Have a look. Would love some feedback. Thanks. http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/nielsen-for-senate/id497904838?mt=8&ign-mpt=uo%3D4

Very nicely done, @MGoBlue! I love the color scheme...the graphics are very nice...it's a warm and inviting app! Would love to know how you got the buffer between the top of the plain list and the header image. Can't quite figure that out in v1.5. Mark

Designer extraordinair ;-) Great job. Does it spit out cigars if you vote properly?

Thanks, Guys. @Mark - the buffer was the default with in BT Server using the plugin that the guys at BuzzTouchMods hacked together. I liked it, so I didn't try to mess with it at all. @David - Cigars! I like it! Funny thing about this app is that I have apps submitted for two political clients. They have virtually identical types of content (although pulled from their own websites). One was rejected because it was simply a content aggregator and this one was approved. Goofy Apple. I ended up adding a California history quiz and changing up some of the screens in the other app. Hopefully it will also be approved soon.

Nice one MGoBlue, slick and tidy work. When I run for Senate I'll be in touch.

Nice work! I'm a little surprised Apple is approving that type of app. Once the politicians actually realize this, that store is gonna be flooded. LOL Rancher

@ATRAIN53 - It's actually kind of interesting how few campaign apps there are. Some of them (like Harry Reid's) are really weak in terms of content. @MacApple - That's a campaign that could be fun!

Good job, indeed. I've visited several times your website: nice and clean and a good portofolio. :) I really admire your work.

@Jackhos1 - using Urban Airship. It's pretty cool because I set up a dedicated twitter account for my client. When they send a tweet it pushes to the apps.

i'm def tempted to start exploring this area. i might. i can't imagine a single candidate that wouldn't want an app to help with their campaign. but i'm guessing they would want the time donated. is that true about this one? i have to think the only reason every candidate isn't using one now is the lack of developers willing to make them..... every major candidate that is running for something in IL usually show up @ my train station in the Am to solicit votes and hand out cards/flyers. i might have to ask one of these guys next time if they have/would use an app. great idea & tips MgoBlue. thanks :)

@ATRAIN53 - I'm charging for the apps. Our campaigns in California are a different animal and generally have much better budgets than elsewhere in the country (except for Congressional and US Senate races). @jgeiser - website is jc-evans.com. Haven't updated apps lately, but the college football page under 'app center' is pretty complete. There are more under portfolio.
