It's been a long wait and a long learning process since iOS 7 and the 3.0 core for iOS came out, so it feels great to finally get an update out there. The update for my video game countdown app for the upcoming game "Watch Dogs" was approved today. - https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/countdown-watch-dogs-edition/id645779564?ls=1&mt=8 Just wanted to throw out yet another thank you to the whole Buzztouch team for the amazing 3.0 update for iOS On a side note, I couldn't help but notice that a couple of other Buzztouch users have ripped off my video game countdown idea. Honestly, I have no problem with that, but I've noticed that a lot of tweaks I've shared on these forums are being used in the apps that are directly competing with mine. That being said, I'm going to start being a little bit more careful about who I share things with. If you want more info on something you see in this app, send me a private message. If you are somebody I know well on these forums I'll be happy to share it with you. If you are somebody I don't know at all, I might be a little more hesitant...no offense, that's just the way it's gotta be these days

Well, I wouldn't call it plagiarism...just people using the exact same app concept with the same screens and social features. I'm not too worried about it - the ones I've seen so far are extremely poor and outdated imitations

Congrats on approval! Sucks about the copy :( We are a sharing community and it sucks that people take advantage of that. I guess we could not post our apps (something i've always done) and also tweak the app so that I doesn't look like a buzztouch app. I guess that would give it an advantage or minimize the possibility of it being copied. Sucks but even a copied app won't do too much damage because you provide so much more to users and your user base seems large. I wouldn't worry about those others but I surely understand.

Yeah, it sucks because I really do enjoy sharing stuff on these forums and helping other people out with their apps. It 's gotten to a point where I just feel like I'm creating more competition for myself when I openly share every tweak I use

You should use the scratcher plugin for your open gift screen. Very well done.

Nice one! Hopefully be saying the same thing soon. As for your other point, I hear you. It is a but a silent few bit annoying all the same. Back in the day I used to send out full apps to people to look at things like parse, Scringo and custom bits and bobs. With success comes copycats bro. Good man.

Looks good. Is the 3rd party SDK you use (socialize maybe?) going to make their buttons more iOS 7ish as well?

@LeonG - I've found that the majority of companies really don't mind if there are third party apps out there getting people hyped up for their game. There are some that do of course, and if this turns out to be one of those cases then I'll simply remove the app from sale @Niraj - yes, the countdown screen Kittsy's AK_countdown plugin which uses local notifications @mutzy - The SDK I'm using in this app is Scringo. I'm hoping that they do...I sent them some feedback on their site requesting that exact feature. One cool thing about Scringo is that all of the .xib files in the SDK are fully customizable, but customizing the like and comment buttons was turning out to be a confusing project...I'm hoping they put out some new default ones
