Google Play Services Library Project - Is a library not saving.

I'm following the instructions to install a Google Play Services library project and cannot make my project into a library. The instructions I'm following are here: http://developer.android.com/google/play-services/setup.html http://developer.android.com/tools/projects/projects-eclipse.html I have created a new Android Application Project called GooglePlayLibrary. In project properties, "Is a library" is not ticked. I tick it and click OK. When I look at project properties again, "Is a library" is unticked. project.properties includes the following lines: target=android-19 android.library=true In another project (my downloaded BuzzTouch Android project), I cannot reference the GooglePlayLibrary because it is not seen as a library. Can someone help identify what to try next?

Hello, and Welcome to Buzztouch! Give this video a look...it should get you going. Ignore the title about it being for Self Hosted...it'll work for BT.com project as well. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/4993711/Import_Self_Hosted_Into_Eclipse.mp4 Mark

Welcome to BT! You're in for an exciting and fun time, I guarantee! Glad to see you're working your way through the stuff... It's a lot to take in from time to time, but after a short while, you'll be publishing in no time! Mark (Go North West) will not steer you wrong, and along with that video, he has a rather extensive YouTube channel as well... worth looking at. For some things, you can also take a look in the 'BT Library', aka the How To section of the website, which has a lot of processes documented by BT users such as yourself, on how to perform various tasks related to getting your BT project off the ground. You might consider this for a reference as well: https://www.buzztouch.com/files/howtos/GPSRefBT.pdf Which is a good reference to verify your steps with. Let us know how it goes, and if you still have a few bumps! Cheers! -- Smug

All sorted out ! Thanks for your help, but my problem turned out to be Eclipse and the way it updates (or doesn't) the ADT. I had to install the new ADT 23.0 since the Eclipse update did not detect an upgrade. So there's a trap for youngsters: If Eclipse tells you that you need an ADT upgrade, believe it! Then manually "install new software" and add the latest ADT.
