Can anyone do this?....

Hey guys, I am busy with an app for a non for profit and they want the interface to be really simple and easy flowing. Like David mentioned in the webinar last week, I think TABS are on their way out. I am looking for a plugin like solution that is a menu and the various screens are right and left of the "home" screen. Have a look at this FIFA World cup app and notice that instead of tabs they have a second header bar with the screen titles, the one you are in is in clear white, and the screens right or left are faded white, showing the user there is more content to be seen by swiping. Also note the transition and how the new screen fades into focus etc. Here is the app I am referring to: <a href="https://itunes.apple.com/au/app/fifa-official-app/id756904853?mt=8" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://itunes.apple.com/au/app/fifa-official-app/id756904853?mt=8</a> Anyone out there keen to make a plugin out of this?

I'd be looking at one of Chris' menus... Not much you can't do with one of those... Cheers! -- Smug

That sliding menu is just a pageview menu with some paralax effects. I believe chris1 already has a page view menu in the plugin market.

The big guys like FIFA have the resources to do some very exotic coding.

Every menu screen in that app uses open source controls. You will find most of them on cocoacontrols.com

Interesting that FIFA has not given recognition nor attribution to the open source code. I looked in their app. Most Companies will have a blurb listing the open source components right within the app. Perhaps they coded their own imitations. -- Niraj

They don't have too, why reinvent the wheel when you can just use code that is written already. Just because you have a team of developers they aren't going to develop everything from scratch or imitate they will fork projects and enhance them. BSkyB used to list all of the open software that they used in there apps, they have removed it from there FAQ they used to use a lot of iCarousel, they also still use a side menu that I started using. You don't have to list open source content in your app, unless it requests it in the licence.

Fun reading. But we need code for both iOS and Android.
