BT Android problem with Galaxy S5 or Android 4.4.3?

Hey folks, I am a bit annoying the last days I know, but as the event is ongoing and people are reporting back quickly I would like to solve these things as quick as possible :-) People with the Samsung Galaxy S5 do not see my app in the Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.megapokerseriesandroid This normally only happens if apps are not compatible, but that should not be a problem! Older apps with the Android 2.0 from BT do show up in the Play Store with the S5! This can only be something small? Help please once again.

Hi Leon A little while ago, I produced a couple of Android apps using BT 3.0. One is a simple 5 page Android app using BT 3.0 and it works on Samsung without problems. My other app is a bit more substantial. I managed to test it on various devices - all the non-Samsung devices were OK. After I published I discovered from feedback that with Samsung devices (Galaxy S3, Note 3, S2 and S5) the app crashed when loading, it didn't even get to the start screen. I had no problem on other devices, some of which were (I believe) Android 4.4. In the end, the only way I could get my app to be Samsung compatible was to go with BT 2.0.

I understand but that is not my problem. My app works on all common Samsung devices like the S2, S3 and S4, it simply does not show my app in google play if searched for on a Galaxy S5 device! So this is probably not a Galaxy S5 problem but more an Android 4.4.3 issue.

Oops, I read the post too quickly. If I recall correctly, Google devices usually have the latest version of Android, it might confirming your app can be seen from one of those to confirm if it is Samsung or Android 4.4.3 (as you suspect).

I'm thinking on the same lines as CMCoffee - are the device specs of the S5 so advanced for a smartphone that Google Play is treating the S5 as a tablet type device - it has a 1080x1920 px screen after all. So, have you added screenshots for tablets in your store listing effectively letting Google Play know that this app is suitable for larger devices? What happens if you search for your app with a modern tablet? Just a thought.

that would not explain, why the S5 finds older BT Apps I have in google play. One of them is even a Android 3.0 one and I never added anything for tablets!

Worth a try adding a screenshot for 7" and 10" tablets

no age restriction probably obviously and as the galaxy s5 is not a 7" I can't upload a screenshot as it is not made for tablets anyway. There must have been a change in BT, how else could we explain that it works on other android 3.0 apps?
