Failed to install app on simulator

Hi I'm just testing my app and installed the iOS 6.1 simulator. It seems though that it cannot install the application on the simulator. Does BT 3.0 have issues with this? My deployment target is set to 5.0.

There are several steps you need to follow. You need to Open the . xcodeproj. You need to drag and drop the Plugins, and Art. Sign and Build Architecture. Clean a couple of times. At what point in that process, did you get the error, and what exactly did the error message say? Is there a reason, in Denmark, or Scandinavia, that you are authoring for such an older iOS?

Hi Nick I've been running and testing on iOS 7 simulator and my device without a problem. I just installed the iOS 6.1 simulator from the tab more simulators and ran it. There is no specific reason for deployment at iOS 6, I just read an article by Angry Ninja who said that in total 95% was on iOS 6 and 7, so this is just for convenience.

Hi nick, Yes, I never submit 5.0 version apps anymore... All of my submissions are set for 6.0 and above. 5.0 certainly won't be needed at all when ios 8 comes out, and it wouldn't surprise me if the xcode update to follow removes 5.0 as even being an option. Also, any plugins using auto layout will require 6.0 and above. In regards to your other post, but somewhat related, cakebit is correct... What you are seeing is probably the yellow warnings, which is absolutely fine. It's just xcode letting you know "hey, there's a more current way to do this bit of code". It won't affect your approval or make your app have any issues, it's basically just to let you know that apple has updated their language to allow a different way of handling that part of code, but as of now either code snippet will work. If it's a red error and not a yellow warning, then that's a different story.

Hi Angry Ninja It's all yellow i.e. warnings. So if my app doesn't run on the 6.1 simulator, does that mean it can't be installed on a iOS 6 device? Maybe it really doesn't matter since iOS 8 is coming this fall?

Just that it can't install on iOS 6. Failed to install. And then I can only press cancel and nothing happens after that.

There should be something in the debug console that gives an idea as to what the issue could be

It just prompts with a message saying iOS Simulator failed to install the application. It doesn't show anything in debug.?

I got it to work by deleting the files from the simulator ~/Library/Application Support/iPhone Simulator. Found it on http://stackoverflow.com/questions/12932750/ios-simulator-failed-to-install-the-application

How old is your Mac? Is it running the latest Xcode? I have an older Mac, and this was the same problem i got.
