I installed google play services before

on a previous app (I am very new to android and still finding my way around) but now want to do the same to a new app. When I open the SDK manager and click on the packages I want it wants to uninstall them - not surprisingly - so how do I get them into my new app?

In the How-to section of buzztouch (in the android section) there is an excellent guide by smug called referencing Google play services library.

The SDK Manager isn't related on a per-app basis...it just asks you want you want and integrated into Eclipe. So, you only need to download the Google Play Services library once (and update it from time to time), and you can use it for any app you choose. Just make sure you import the library into Eclipse like you did on the previous app, and link it in the Properties page like you did on the previous app. Make sense? Mark

Thanks guys. I actually followed Krompa's advice and read Smug's article. Made things a lot easier. Still can't run the most basic app though :) - still 74 errors apparently.

Having the same problem.... I'm seeing this from many people in the forums... Is there any resolution for this?

Hey Terry. I could not get my head around this at first but if you read Smug's article it starts to fall into place. Once you have got the google play lib file/folder in your Eclipse folders (only have to link once) it stays visible and with each new app you just go to properties and link it to the new app. I only did it myself about a week ago and now it's just routine. If any updates are needed a red x will appear and you can refresh that as it happens.
