Using the Audio Stream plugin, Im using stream url http//stream.wavestreamer.com:port I've seen discussions that ask for a .mp3 extension but i'm trying to stream the station not just individual files. Never heard of the issues you are talking about. I have an iPhone with retina screen and have never experienced any problems nor have I heard of others....
