The simulator has the current position of Apple's headquarters hardcoded as the simulator device's current location, which is why you are seeing the startup location near San Francisco. If you load it on your local device, you will see that it will show your position as Germany (assuming that's where your phone is) :) Comments Hi Schneuz, It will show the users current location on the device.
