I cannot get my YouTube playlist to actually "play" in my app. The list displays beautifully in preview, but the videos never stop the loading spin. It plays directly out of YouTube mobile immediately. I've removed the "non-mobile" items from the playlist. If I can't get it to work, I'll have to remove one of the fun elements in a very serious app, which I hate to do, but it's the only thing keeping me from finishing up months long work and submitting to the iTunes store - anybody, please help!

Some videos are set to prevent embedding. I reckon that might be your problem.

Is there a way to find out about the embedding issue?

Perhaps try using the custom URL plugin to point to each one of the videos -- one at a time. Then you will know if the videos can be mobile played and can be embedded. -- Niraj

I've only seen the option to prevent embedding whilst uploading a video, never seen anything showing on any actual YouTube videos to say wether it is it isn't. Try adding one of my personal vids to your playlist. I'm pretty sure I left mine embeddable. http://youtu.be/ZXD7eUOsqlI

Alrighty - @trouty, your video played like a champ - so it appears that the videos are set to prevent embedding. Any good hacker secrets to get around that little quirk?

Use a tool to download the video, then upload it to your own YouTube account, set it to not be listed, add it to your playlist
