ShowKit goes v1.0, price goes $1,000/month.

So I thought I'd circle back and check out ShowKit (http://www.showkit.com) as I thought it had fantastic potential for my apps. I couldn't really get it to work for me in the beta version it had been in previously, and was looking for an update. I see now it has gone v1.0. Great! I also see that they're now requiring a credit card be added to my account and their pricing starts at $1,000/month. Ouch. This is way out of any potential price I could pay given where I am with developing clients and my client base in general. Seems like Aurasma all over again for me. Too bad. I'll keep digging around with ShowKit to see if I've been "grandfathered" into any services since I was beta testing, but if anyone knows more, I'l sure like to hear from you. Best, William

When I talked to the guys at Showkit on my podcast, they seemed to let on that they would eventually have to put a price tag on the service, but they said they would work around it, especially for BT folks who made a good percentage of their beta testers.
