Smugs Message Location - tip

I'm using this plug-in in an ios app I'm working on. It's a really useful feature, I really like it. While testing I found if I email the map reference, that the map is OK on an iPhone, but not from a PC. After a bit of digging, I found if I made an adjustment to the default message string, it would work on a PC as well, which I thought I'd share. This is the default, OK on mobile, not on a Windows PC for some unfathomable reason. Message Data is: http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&f=d&q=[deviceLatitude],[deviceLongitude] Example url : http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&f=d&q=52.073535,-1.014631 This is what I found seems to work on both a PC and mobile Message Data is: The link for the map is: https://maps.google.com/?q=[deviceLatitude],[deviceLongitude] Latitude is [deviceLatitude] and Longitude is [deviceLongitude] Example url : https://maps.google.com/?q=52.073535,-1.014631

That pesky Google, always changing things just when they start to work well. I'll change that in an update. Thanks AlanMac! Cheers! -- Smug

No worries Smug, I was just pleased I was able to find something that worked! It might be possible to finesse the settings further. I couldn't figure out the zoom values, I couldn't find much documentation by Google on passing values along a URL. Cheers, Alan
