Ok, for my own personal curiosity, I wanted to compare doing a database location style app from hand, like I did before, to using the new "Instant Database App". Both of which already had location data pre-existing in a spreadsheet. The first app took over 6 months and has over 1,000 screens, with about 400 physical locations. This app, has 1 screen (yes, thats not a typo... ONE SCREEN in the BT control panel), and has 12,348 locations. Total time to create this app? Less than 48 hours. I wish I had this plugin 6 months ago, lol. This is version 2.0... I rebuilt the first version from the ground up in less than 48 hours entirely on Buzztouch. Here, play with my new app... There probably are, but this is a database that I had put together several years ago, when I did version 1.0 of the Pawn Shop app (not with Buzztouch, just a regular xcode project)... in fact, I did it so many years ago, the name "Pawn Shop" was still available, lol. If I remember correctly, I think I used a data harvester software of some sort at the time to get the locations. Ghost Hunter was my very first database app, back in 2009 I think, and that was over 4,000 locations, all entered and geocoded by hand, one location at a time.

Yeah, I probably will change the navbar to black. Lol, I didn't even notice that it zoomed in on Vegas to begin with. The app zeros in on the users location, so the app.io servers must be in vegas. On the simulator, it zooms in near Apple Headquarters in California, and on my phone, it zooms in on Maine.

I should also mention I stripped this version down to remove the things that didn't apply. I took out the photos feature, the videos feature, and the featured item function (best dish on the menu on the diners app that comes with the plugin). I also moved a few things around. It has the basic feel of the Diners app that comes with the plugin, but not as many features, which was intentional. Nobody wants to take pictures or watch youtube videos of a pawn shop... unless it's Pawn Stars of course... but the other 12,000 locations.... probably not. ;)
