Notes and Favorites data disappear?

I recently submitted an update for one of my more popular medical apps. On the update prior to this I included the "notes" and "favorites" plugins. I have now received a few comments from users stating that after this update all of their personal notes and favorites have disappeared and they need to start over from scratch. Is that supposed to happen? Is there a way to avoid this in the future?? I submit updates 4-6 times a year. Thanks! Josh

maybe some way with nsuser defaults, which I suppose it already uses.I think the update erases it (well obviously lol). Hey but you can try chris1's text editor for the notes.Im sure kittsy is updating the favorites plugin as well now that buzz con and code camp has ended. Some more knowledgable users on this subject will post soon.

Hi Josh, this is strange the Favorites are saved in nsuserdefaults which persists between updates. By any chance did you switch to the newer version in the plugin, if this is the case the data file did change but won't happen again.

Ah, I did change from the 3rd party version to the BT version. Good to hear. Now to figure out why it's happening with the "notes" plugin. Josh
