Okay to edit source code/create new plugin from source code?

Hello, I'm developing an app for my company and I was wondering if it's okay to edit source code or create a new plugin using existing plugins (with customized features implemented)? I'm curious because the Location Map doesn't have the features I need, and it would be nice to not have to completely develop a map plugin before adding in the features I need.

Look and abide by the license embedded in the header of the source code.

Okay, I read the disclaimers, it seems that I can modify the code and redistribute it, but what if I create plug in using this code (with modifactions)? Would I be able to sell that plug in and how would I write my own copyright (if I can)?

This should help you understand the license and how to abide by it. https://www.buzztouch.com/pages/terms-plugin-developer.php -- Niraj

Welcome to BuzzTouch -- let us know how we can help. I have to keep it black and white when it comes to the license usage. I cannot offer my opinion. That's the reason for the link to the Developer terms. -- Niraj

@Niraj - less of the hard sell - however well intentioned. It is appropriate to be a member when a user feels it is time to become a member. Non-members are entitled to a bedding-in period where they get to know what BT is all about - that can take a while for some of us. @metro - welcome to BT. It's worth noting only members can sell BT plug-ins.
