If you're running your own BT Self Hosted machine you don't have to make any changes to get the latest 4.0.x builds for iOS or Android. If you're download contains all the standard BT_Screens you've got the latest build. If it does not, be patient, it may take a few hours for everyone running self hosted installs to see this. There are lots of different versions of the self hosted package in the wild. Some of these show an option to "control which build you get" from the BT API. This is no longer honored. It doesn't matter what download button you click in your self-hosted panel, you'll get the latest build for iOS and Android regardless. We realize this may not be idea for all users but we think it's the best approach moving forward.

I am still seeing v3.0 on my self hosted downloads. Is it true i dont have to do anything from my end? When i click 'prepare project download' i still see 'prepare iOS Project or 'Use the Buzztouch Core for iOS v3.0' my download still shows '[AppName]-iOS-BTv3.0.zip' Is says to be patient as it may take a few hours so i left it over night and its still currently the same (19 hour since davids post) the bottom of my self hosted panel shows 'powered by Buzztouchâ„¢ v3.0.0' so i guess thats the version of self hosted i am running. Do i still wait? am i doing something wrong? is there a bug? Thanks Steve

HI All, please check now, you should be getting the new Core project via self hosted download. Although the zip file name still shows v3.0, have a look at the README file on the first line you should see: "Buzztouch v4.0 for..." Great news, true, but there is a new learning curve and bugs to get squashed. For myself, I am experiencing teething troubles with BT 4 on the buzztouch hosted. No way could I download and make an app today that could be published. Maybe it will take a day, a week, or a month before things will be OK, I don't know. I'm publsihing my findings elsewhere and i f all is fixed quickly then great, but we don't have a fallback on self hosted. I doubt any of us need BT 2.0 support any more, but if there is any way to support BT 3.0 downloads on Self Hosted together with BT 4, on Self Hosted, it would help. Cheers, Alan

AlanMac, We've been copying a stable "base code" from a previous project. More or less just using the self hosted software to generate a new JSON and provide a way to change it. Works well this way. Can't take any credit for the idea, Susan's entirely. Tim

Yes, I agree that works Tim. I released my recent app just after the BT 4 changes using BT 3 base code that I had been working on. Thinking about it, if that didn't work, we would all be in trouble with our releasd apps! lol!

@tiger there is no update to the self hosted software for you to upload. Your existing one should be the latest version. We have suspended self hosted downloads and updates for now, until we have finalised our product offering going forward. A completely new self hosted package will be available as part of Buzztouch 5.0 in due course. Kristen

Quick FYI: As @Kaybee suggested, there won't be any FULL Self Hosted Package updates for awhile while we continue to work through this 4.0.x transition. HOWEVER. We will be releasing a few files (2 or 3 .php files) that will need uploaded to your self hosted installations. These patches are fixes to the 4.0.x download issue using an already installed self hosted panel. All sorts of strangeness is possible (and likely) today when you download a project using a self hosted panel. This is due to a number of reasons, mostly because the core iOS or Android projects are delivered to your self hosted panel have changed. Said another way, your self hosted panel isn't aware of some of the structural changes in the 4.0.x iOS / Android projects and doesn't know how to process them. Expect a few .php files to upload (FTP) to your self hosted panels over the weekend?

Hello - In regards to not having to do anything to receive the update to 4.0 (soon to be 4.0.1), I have just done the following: 1) In my admin panel (for SH), I clicked "check for updates" 2) It did 3) It said "The most current version available at buzztouch.com is v3.0.0 You are running v3.0.0 (no updates are necessary)." Is that how it is supposed to work as of 11/16/17? Many thanks -

yes, your control panel has not changed and will show 3.0. but your builds should show v4 in the name or the zip. although saying that, self hosted isnt working yet and we are awaiting the 4.0.1 release which is imminent
