IOS Push notification expired certificates

Hi, My IOS certificate for push notification expired a few days ago so I created a new APNs certificate with the same app id as the old one. I have uploaded the new .pem file in Buzztouch and tried to push some notification without any success. Buzztouch says that the notifications are sent but the users do not receive anything. Has anybody else have gone though this process successfully and can you help me get this working again? Please note that before the expiration of the certificate all was working just fine. Thanks

Did you send an update to the App Store? I think you need to compile with the new certificates installed on your machine and update your apps.

I don't think you have to do that...at least I didn't when my push certificates expired. I just generated new ones, uploaded them to BT.com, and all was well. Mark

yeah from what I have read you don't have to do that. Mark is it possible to tell me the steps you followed to do this?

Push Notifications should still work for the BT v2 apps. Literally all I did was create the new certs at Apple and upload them to the BT.com site. I did have to deal with the "This is not a PEM file issue," but that got resolved, and I was on my way. It was that simple. Mark

@rotos, I've been using Parse for push but the same the principle applies. I do as Mark says, just generate a new certificate(Production) with correct bundle ID and upload them to parse and it all continues to work. I hope you get it sorted! Cheers Darrel

I verified push works on iOS for test devices - will verify live in a couple days when my church app is approved. Still need to look at Android.

ictguy, I have done exactly that. I generated a new APNs production certificate with the bundle id the old certificate had. I downloaded the certificate converted it to a PEM file and uploaded to Buzztouch. Buzztouch seems that sends the notification successfully but no notifications are received. I have contacted Apple about this issue but all they have done at this point is to refer me to their help guides.

Did push work on test mode for your app before you published it? Does your BT_Config.txt say Live instead of Design?

The application has been published for a year and everything worked fine until the push certificate expired.

Did you recompile with the new certificate installed in your Xcode and submit the update to Apple?

No I did not do that but I don't think it's necessary for what I hear from other developers

Is this issue resolved? Is it necessary to refile the app with Apple?
