Kittsy.co.uk Tutorials

Just posted my first tutorial / code snippet on my new website www.kittsy.co.uk Benefits of posting on the site 1. It keeps track of my code 2. It should be easier to find 3. It has proper code boxes with copy and paste so no more stupid quotes 4. It's formatted in a nicer way I have more space to explain what is happening as a layman Check it out will be posting more as time goes on. Follow me on twitter @theKIttsy

Is it possible to add an autoresponder to the blog. If I don't get an email, then I won't read it.

http://ios-blog.co.uk/tutorials/objective-c-strings-a-guide-for-beginners/ Check that one, it works nicely with code blocks and the Reader tool on Mobile Safari. ----- The first tutorial is simply smashing! I signed-up for the newsletter, I'm with Nick, I am best prodded via emails. Thanks, -- Niraj

Congrats Kittsy! Let's do an Internet Marketing Google Hangout soon! The "money is in the list" always remember that! YES! Do a newsletter mailchimp (free) is a great start but aweber is the way to go later on. You are on to something big! So many internet marketer gurus are already here on the forum --some are in the shadows ---efg :) So proud you right now sniff sniff

Thanks guys and gals. I'll tray nd bost a few a week. I just hope it gives a bit more understanding of how the code works instead of just saying "Type this magical line in the code and this will happen"

Great idea, Kittsy! And good synchronism, as I need a tip for your Voucher Access plugin.... (I'm currently trying it on BT3.0 self-hosted and iOS7, and I found this issue...) If the user types the wrong password he/she doesn't get any error message and the plugin just does its job: it loads a non-existent screen... i.e. a screen with 'Plugin not found?' in the navbar and a 'Missing Plugin...' statement... Shouldn't it just display an error message without trying to do its job? Or maybe load a screen we could specify in the CP settings? Thanks in advance for your tips! Cheers Jack

ah I haven't looked into that plugin for over a year and that makes sense. Before core 3.0 if a screen wasn't there it wouldn't load. I'll start working on a fix

Thanks a lot! (BTW... IMO, an 'error screen' setting in the CP would be more versatile than a plain error message...) Cheers Jack

As requested by Feraco A tutorial on adding some new transitions to buzz touch. Plenty of code, easy to copy and paste four examples. At the bottom is a copy of a modified BT_navController.m that you can swap into your project for ease. http://kittsy.co.uk/use-different-ios-screen-transitions-in-a-buzztouch-app/

@fusionsch so you want to be able to write your own warning message when incorrect from the control panel consider.

@Kittsy Yes, I can imagine some cases where such a feature may be useful! (But don't consider it as a top priority...) Cheers Jack PS. Thanks for the tutorial about transitions, I'll try these cool tricks soon!
