Android HTML Docs

I am creating an app with a menu that shows HTML docs (text only) when the user is offline. To do so I am using the HTML Docs plugin. It works fine in the iOS Xcode simulator. In Android Studio, however, I'm receiving a "show document" screen similar to this: http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=5lp5bd&s=8#.WGQGAXeZOwQ And when I click on "Show document" I receive an error. Essentially, the app isn't able to find or display the document at all. All docs are loaded in the appropriate folder on Android Studio: apps>assets>BT_Docs Does anyone have a solution for this? How can I get these HTML files to appear on Android like they do on iOS? Do I need to start over and use Smug's plugin for an Android-only app? Thanks in advance!

I have seen this in the forums a few years ago when BT 3.0 first came out, but I am not sure exactly where the posts are. The android version of html docs does behave differently by design and I think it tries to launch a 'helper' app to render the html, which isn't any help whatsoever! I think your choices for Android are to either use the custom url plugin and reference the file locations for your files directly in the fields where you enter the url location (which isn't going to work in ios) or use @chris1's html pro plugin, which is what I do. Thanks for the advice, Alan. It sounds like I should give @chris1's plugin a try. Just to clarify, will the HTML Pro plugin allow users to access my HTML docs offline?

Yes, I use it that way. For me, it's the easiest option if you are making a 'dual' app.

Not sure if he's selling it any more but Smug has a plugin called Smugs Android HTML. Works perfectly. Try contacting him to see if he's interested in putting it in the plugin market again. He's a genius! His handle is SmugWimp Dave

I just had a look and I think Smug has removed all his plugins from the market?!
