Easy inApp Purchase Part III

A client has a brand new iPad Air and cannot purchase her own inApp purchases I created for her business. (great) There are two IAPs and both are not working, the page just says "wait" and the page load circle spins and spins and will not load the log into Apple Store prompt. I had her check her wifi connection and uninstall/reinstall the app and neither fixed the issue. I asked three other friends to test the inApp purchase and they all worked on their earlier model iPads and they are all updated to IOS 7. I built this app for version 6:1 for universal devices. Do I have to target build up to 7.1 and above in order to get the plug in to work on her iPad Air? For now, I checked the plug in for updates in my self hosted platform and its says it is updated. Any ideas on what might be happening? I wonder if there is a setting on her iPad Air that needs to be activated or something?

Make sure she is logged into the App Store via the Settings app? Have her buy a free app to confirm.

Hello Niraj, She has been doing just that. Still, she cannot access the inApp purchase itself..the screen just sits and reads "wait". It sounds like a server issue but she tried the same thing at another Internet connection, same thing. Yet, she can buy other inApp products. Even stranger, other people can still buy her inApps on their devices. Hmmm

Perhaps she has a beta version of the app? Delete the app entirely on her device and have her download the app from the App Store. That would be the difference between her friends and herself. Another check to make is the iOS version between her device and her friends' devices. Keep an eye on iOS 5, 6, 7 differences. The minor versions should not make a difference. I do believe the Developer of IAP plugin is also a Utah feller. Give him a hoot-n-holler.

Thank you, Niraj. She downloaded the latest version of her app from the App Store like everyone else. I did have her delete it and reinstall it to no avail. I built the app targeting "Universal" devices up to 6.1. She is operating the latest and greatest version go IOS 7. I will the Dev for IAP, thanks!

Sounds silly, have her try it in another device.

Niraj, I had three people with earlier model iPads test for me and they all were able to purchase the page behind the prompt page. (Both IAPs inside the App in question) Back to my client; she and her husband have brand new iPad Airs and both of them cannot purchase the page behind the IAP prompt. Her husband then used his iPhone 5 and it worked like a charm. It has something to do with the iPad Air, which is the 64 BIT processor. I wonder if I have to rebuild the App targeting 7.0 or above?

For 64-bit compatibility, test it on an iPhone 5s, on iPad air and on iPad mini retina. iOS 7 is a good idea because 83% of iOS users are now on iOS 7.
