Exciting News, Buzztouch has been acquired.

We are delighted to report that Buzztouch has been acquired by Kaybee Industries Pty Ltd. Many of you know Kristen (Kaybee) and have benefited greatly from his years of participation in the Buzztouch Forums and community. Kaybee Industries is an information services company based in Perth, Australia. The acquisition of Buzztouch enforces KB's commitment to providing leading technology services to it's clients spanning multiple industries. Short Term: There are no plans to change the current Buzztouch offering. Some long overdue updates / fixes will be rolled out immediately. Longer Term: Exciting things are in Buzztouch's future. Kristen is fast at work organizing staff, plans, road map items and other management priorities. Stay tuned on this thread as details unfold. I must also take this opportunity to send a HUGE THANK YOU and express my DEEPEST APPRECIATION for the help, support, guidance, and overall good will of the amazing Buzztouch community over the last 7 years. I'm especially grateful to those listed (or were previously listed) in the Buzztouch Top 25 list. Tens of thousands of aspiring app developers and owners have benefitted greatly from your efforts - you have lots to be proud of. My professional future is unknown but I do look forward to participating in the BT community like I used to do - regularly! Until next time... David Book Past Chief Cook and Bottle Washer

Firstly, I'd like to thank you David, for all your hard work in bringing Buzztouch to us and we will be sorry to see you hang up your bottle washing gloves. It is good to know that Buzztouch is moving forwards and I look forward to some more detail about that in due course. I am sure there are one or two of us that have some ideas for things that need a refreshing, e.g. the Plugins market, so Kristen, please let us know if we can be of any help. Alan

A huge thank you to David for everything that he has done for us all over the past seven years. Many of us have benefitted enormously from his hard work and generosity. I wish you well, David, as I am sure the whole community does. My best wishes to Kristen on a successful future for Buzztouch. This platform is unique both technically and in terms of the people on the forum. I'm sure that you will continue the Buzztouch wonderfulness! John in the UK

An end or an era. I can't thank David and the team enough for the past few years. This place turned me into a software developer. Even though the number of apps published remains zero. I have met some fabulous people over the years. Traveled to the USA for the first time Las Vegas and Chicago. All experiences I will cherish forever. Many thanks. A new beginning. The first plugin I ever created was with Kristen over 5 years ago. He's a top guy who is highly motivated and passionate for his company to grow and succeed. I'm expecting great things. No pressure :-p

David- Thank you for all that you have done. Although it may have gotten a little nightmarish for you, this is the dream we all strive for. Build a great product and have it bought from you by an interested party. Your dream helped tons of us non coders turn our ideas into apps. You should be proud of what you have done here. Buzztouch is an awesome thing. Dave

Congratulations David and Kristen! Lettting go of something you create is never easy, but it's in good hands with Kristen. I've done a lot of work with him over the years and am excited to see where he takes Buzztouch in the future. I agree completely with Kittsy - Buzztouch made me who I am and I will be forever greatful to David and the entire community. It's been a while ride and I'm sure it will continue to be so.

Congratulations David and Kristen! I would be - especially as a self-hoster - very worried if Buzz had gone to the hands of someone who was never actually part of it. Have seen the results of that sort of thing. But a Buzztouch person, well, that's a whole different thing. :-) And God knows we are all looking forward to updates! lol Good Luck to you David :-) Joe

Wow! I'm speechless and excited at the same time! BT has been an amazing part of my life for quite some time. More importantly than what I've learned is the friends I've made. Apps will come and go, but friends will last a lifetime. I'm very excited to see how things go! I can't thank you, David, enough for everything you've done for me and my family. Friends for life! Mark [Now, I just need to get a tons of posts in before things change...I was so close to 100,000 points!]

Hey Guys, Not surprised reading the posts above. David has made something special with Buzztouch over the last 7 years. We have all benefited from it in various ways. I can tell you that I will endeavour to keep David's legacy alive in Buzztouch. I am sure there are a lot of questions about what are my plans with BT going forward. For this reason we have disabled yearly memberships for the time being, you are still able to renew your membership on a monthly basis, meaning you will still get the member benefits and will be charged monthly, but we don't want to lock you or us into anything as we do expect some changes during the next 3-6 months. yes we are working on getting the payment system working. Changes???? What changes?? Yip there will be changes, a lot of things will change but a lot of things will stay the same. More detail will come on that in the coming months. Right now BT will work as per normal with some quick fixes in particular to iOS10 as David eluded to. I am currently researching our competition, pricing and product offerings, defining our product offerings going forward, consulting with my technical team and then we will roll it out. Naturally I have made this investment with the plan to make it a successful BUSINESS. I expect not all decisions will be liked but everyone, but hopefully by most. I will also be posting a link to a survey in the coming days on the forum and will seek to hear from everyone possible about their thoughts on what they like and don't like and anything they would want to see in the future and in some cases follow that up with a skype call. Lastly, it is no secret, I am not a coder !! I came to Buzztouch to learn how to make apps "Without coding experience" I learned enough to make some basic apps, got help from plugin developers and made some more interesting apps, then my business got to a stage that my time was better spent on the business and dealing with customers, so I employed developers ( from this community) who I trusted to do all the coding. This has worked very well as I was able to speak both customer and coding language with the relevant parties. I will continue in this vein, I will use my experience in the BT community as a user and as a business person to design and mould our future, while leaning on my technical support team. David has graciously offered to assist in the transition process and I'm certain that his skill, experience, and love for BT will be helpful in the future. Thanks again to David, his team, and everyone in the community, we in this together and in a few months we will have a world class solution that makes app development within the reach of anyone interested. See you on the forum Kristen

Awesome news! I was just looking at the forums last week and thinking about how depressingly dead they have become haha...hopefully this will stir things up a bit :) Although I haven't quite replicated the success I had with Buzztouch a few years ago, I can still see just as much potential with this platform as there ever was. Excited to see where it goes!
