Apple Removed App

I created an app in 2013 got it published in itunes connect OK. They just removed my app from sale stating it was either no longer functional, does not follow current review guidelines, or was outdated. I am going to assume it was outdated. This was my one and only app and I am not that experienced in programming, can anyone give me clues as to what I have to do to bring it up to date? Thanks, Webmac

Hey Webmac. You should recompile it in a newer version of xCode than what you had when you submitted it. Make sure it runs on newer iOS versions. It has to be 64bit enabled.

Same thing happened to me. I think all we need to do is compile it for the latest iOS version, like @RedDog mentioned, and we'll be good! Mark

Glad to hear Apple is finally getting rid of old/outdated apps. I've seen some apps on the app store recently that haven't been updated in five years!

That's right, Apple started doing some homework! The good news: 1. There are tons of apps so this checkup and cleanup is slow 2. They warn you before deleting the app and give you a deadline (30 days if I remember well) 3. They delete it from the App Store but not from the devices (no more downloads, but already installed apps are still ok) Same thing happened to me with an old app (but still no warning for my oldest one...), just had to resubmit it with minor changes. Cheers Jack
