Advanced Search Plug-in

Hello. I was considering adding the advanced search plugin to my app but had a question of how it works. Basically I have a Menu Button screen that is A-Z. I would like to add a search option at the top of this screen so that someone has that option. Is this possible with the plug-in or is it a separate screen option? Thanks!

Chris indexes the entire app, which is a good thing. But you kinda have to use his controller his way, which is fine for most projects, but perhaps not every one. If you're feeling frisky you can implement search in your favorite menu, if you 'adapt' these directions to the BT view Controller... http://jenn.salvia-curativo.com/iOSMadeSimple/index.php/2012/12/18/table-search-display-tutorial/ But if not, the either Chris' or Mr. David's choices are your best bet. Well, I do want it to search the whole app as I have several lists in the app. But I do only want the search box to show up on certain screens and just as a search area at top. I just want to make sure I can do this with the plug-in before I shell out for it. :)

Understood. Chris writes some pretty good stuff, so I'm sure it works great. Whether it works great 'for your needs' may vary. But for this plugin (and almost all of them), it's not integrated with your menus; it's a separate screen. If that'll work for you, then I'm sure you'll find value in Chris' work. Cheers! -- Smug

I typically open a plist file from within the xcode ide and make my edits there. just find the file in the 'explorer' looking sidebar, and click on the file. Cheers! -- Smug
