No More Build For Archive

Have always followed Marks excellent handout on how to send apps to Apple. One of the steps was to Build for Archiving before actually archiving. However, the new Xcode does not seem to have that option. Now the Build For only has options for Running, Testing or Profiing. Do we just Archive instead? Thanks. Steve

You can use the Build for Profiling option. This will show you if you have any possible errors in your build. After you build you need to archive the app and then validate it before submitting it to the appstore.

Hi Steve It's still there, I had the same issue. Check your main menu, can't remember as not in front of my computer, but it's listed in one of the categories in the main menu. Look for 'Organiser'. Good Luck!
