Welcome to Buzztouch! Its nice having separate responsibilities; they're both extremely important! Many of our members do one or the other, so if you have questions, here is the place! Enjoy! Cheers! -- Smug

Looks great good luck with sales, did you build that with the Buzztouch framework?

Hi Daniel and Kelsey, Welcome to Buzztouch! Pretty cool app you have there! Would you both like to attend this month's Oxford meetup? It's the only UK meetup, and it's the only regular Buzztouch meetup in the world, as far as I am aware of! Just a causal meet where we discuss stuff, doing some coding and talk to the Buzztouch admin online. We have had quite a lot of people come from London, but also elsewhere from around Britain, and hosting it in Oxford is very central to Britain gathering people from Birmingham and London! I'm really low on attendees this month, so it would be good if you could give me a boost! Of course, it's all free. Date + Time: Thursday 28th November - 16:00 until 18:00 Location: Berlitz, 131 High Street, Oxford, OX1 4DH http://www.buzztouchoxford.com/invitation.png Thomas Boyd Annandale Apps

Cheers everyone. Looks like there is a nice community here. We made it very and and off for over a year. We are now having problems with the marketing side of things, but I am research as much as possible. I've not looked into the Buzztouch so much yet, but will do to see how I can use it for future games. Thanks for the invite Thomas, unfortunately we are not available on that date. I'll follow though for the next one. Thanks again everyone!

Frankly -- BuzzTouch is not appropriate for game development. However, that should not dissuade you from making a traditional app with BuzzTouch now and then! Welcome! :-) -- Niraj

I think for the actual gameplay, Buzztouch isn't too good for this. The reason being is that games are special. There are no two games alike. This means that using Buzztouch is kinda tricky. However, having said this, Buzztouch is very good for menus and managing content. Just look on the plugin market to find some great plugins for menus.

@Niraj and @Thomas: Are quizzes not games, some type of user interactivity challenge? In these last few days of forcing my self to learn app development to compete with others in my industry, it's a must, grow or get left behind. For anyone looking to break into the app development world, Buzztouch is the perfect solution to own the back end framework, self host and monetize your app development plus white label your service as your own, having full control over branding and ownership of what you build. Before Buzztouch. I've tested, researched and paid $$ to use other services that you have no control over the code or submission process. Thus they make the money, but hey if you're a non-coder and like the drag and drop method of app development, that's cool, maybe be hopeful you get people to download your app at a price or even make money from ads. Buzztouch for me is that entry point where I can compete with those savvy online marketers that oversell their diy app systems and make money convincing individuals they can tap into this growing trend if they watch their online videos then skies the limit. The attrition rate is high because people will give up once they find that being able to build apps you own the binaries for, you need to be on a mac, sucks if you can only afford a pc, even with pc users using phonegap and html5, you still need xcode. That's provided the service you choose is not browser based or if they compile your code for you to submit to the app stores. Even if you break that barrier the next hurdle is monetization, and competing with apps that are of high development quality vs the dumb app how David puts it in his tutorials. Having invested time and money into your app development, you have to then try to figure out the right way to market your app, to be successful. I see a bright future with Buzztouch, whether you choose to use these tools as a hobby or make a living from it, that's cool. Just getting started I must have spent like $50 for plugins in the marketplace. So if there were other newbies like me, that purchased plugins from susan danny gonorthwest, hey that's great residual income considering there are only 69 plugins to choose from, half are free, build once, sell forever. Especially since Buzztouch celebrated their 1 million customer. Coming in at $49.99 was a no brainer. So I guess everyone's journey with Buzztouch will be different. Games like food are recession proof no matter how the economy is, the onset of micropayments and inapp purchasing, it's here and growing. People will spend for that type of escape and entertainment. The wifey confiscated my ipad and is now a candy crush junkie. Ugh. Good thing is now that I'm getting familiar with all this we came up with our own confectionery type game and are story boarding it, since I do 3d animation I can't wait for my sugary avatars come to life. and make a killer animated trailer. So just like Daniel and Kelsey, or the couple that built Temple Run, Ed (Design+Development+Everything Else)and Lalaine (R&D + Game Concept)you never know unless you try and just do it. Just my opinion. Ed

Ok Daniel, I hope you got my 70 cents from apple, just completed level 15, interesting game concept, if you're good with spacial recognition, chess and the sliding numbers game, you'll be good to go. Challenging though. If you can walk us through where you are with Jelly Chef, marketing wise what has or hasn't worked for you. How long it's been out there, and your choice of paid vs free with inapp purchases, like a power up to slice a darn brownie wall that keeps me from moving my jelly. Our goal is to follow the Temple Run's Imangi husband and wife team. http://www.celebritynetworth.com/video/inside-creators-temple-run-imangi-517396726/ There's a lesson to be learned by their example: http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/money/economy/story/2012-08-05/imangi-studios/56754316/1 Let me know, I think I can be of assistance to you, especially for the UK audience. Thanks Ed
