It seems that you are having issues relating to the database. You need to put your database name, database username and password of that database properly.

Thank you for your help! I did check them and it is correct. Could it be with some special characters in the password? Are there any restrictions?

I dont think so but i am not so sure as well. Which hosting service are you using? Try using the host name in place of the localhost. For eg it can be like- sql6d30a.carrierzone.com. I made these changes directly in my config.php file on my server and then uploaded it. Then followed regular steps on the browser. This solved my problem.

Unless it's a local server, I agree with Sandeep. "localhost" is a default, and for hosted servers is usually not going to work. I use an IP address for mine, other folks can use a qualified domain name (joe.server.com)… it depends on who you're hosting with. If you're running a CMS like Joomla or Wordpress, the db credentials will be 'somewhat' similar, at least enough to understand what they're asking for. Cheers! -- Smug

Hi, If you use strange characters in your password you have to escape them with a '\' Example: If your password is test&12$34 then you should have this in your config.php test\&12\$34 This should help. Best Regards, Danny
