Contribution to Today's Webinar

Me of all people had audio/video technical difficulties. Still learning, just finished my first iPhone App. It's a hybrid of my wordpress mobile responsive site, and Buzztouch market Plugins with credits to the developers. https://www.dropbox.com/s/0y1jr7a3q4j8dog/BuzztouchPlugIns.jpg This mockup is my visual reference as to what I can build with items in the plugin market. For this client I think version2.0 will include other 3rd party sdk like Showkit. I wanted to share this today and share my screen, with the GameSalad App I have in development and much more. So I'll be better prepped next time. If anyone wants to utilize my Photoshop Mockups, send me a request. Now time to conquer the Android version. Cheers and great seeing others via webcam today. Ed

Great app! All of it is good but I'm most impressed by your use of the custom URL plugins (services, blog, appointments...), they look amazing! I unfortunately have a much more limited knowledge of html so am mostly stuck to text, tables and basic pics. keep it up! Josh

@susan was todays webinar recorded my audio kept trying to connect i ended up calling in but missed a lot will you be uploading the video i wanted to offer a suggestion for the top 25 outside of viewing developer profiles may i suggest some type of shared spreadsheet that rows have buzztouch members and accross the top each column has a skill set like xcode, php, photoshop contributing members can rate their level of expertise since everyone in the community helps their fellow member a spreadsheet like this would come in handy just a thought, i used to do this when managing teams of interns i trained in multimedia production thanks ed

Good idea! The interactions are more informal right now, but it would be fun to make something like that so people could find partners for projects. I know I need help with design! I am afraid I didn't record it. What I meant to do was ask each person presenting if they wanted to record. But it was too much to keep track of the chat room and the discussion. When we do it again I can ask someone help with facilitation.

To answer the game salad is it worth building gaming apps. The key is to have a distribution network in place, so there are eager and willing people to download your freemium with IAP installed. Here's what I'm doing: Step 1: find something trending and create something useful that others will want it. Thus creating your buyers market. can be jesus screenlock images or a simple desktop wallpaper ie. Avengers came out in summer 2012. I created a windows rainmeter wallpaper theme unique enough that no one else has my setup. (mind you these are pc users) SITE 1: http://customize.org/rainmeter/skins/89540 (93,691 views / 46,619 downloads) my iron man 3 screen JARVIS setup its an interactive display SITE 2: http://edreyes.deviantart.com/art/SHIELD-JARVIS-UI-3-Displays-311420149 (128,706 views / 36,693 downloads) Total Eyeballs on me (222,397 views / 83,312 downloads) Helps to have a Youtube video as well http://youtu.be/2FgDnHOFmTY STEP 2: Come up with a game concept that is close to a game that's trending so that usability wise people are familiar with. candy crush = bejeweled. STEP 3: Find an SDK that the learning curve is ok, from my research and my friends in the gaming industry, Game Salad is their choice. STEP 4: Contact those who have Favorited my rainmeter wallpaper theme I think I have 350 in my deviantart account and ask them to beta test out your game, give them unlock codes for free lifetime. (I call my marketing generals) STEP 5: Launch the freemium model, and say for a free code visit 1 of my 350 beta testers (really you are reciprocating by sending traffic their way) and them being worldwide is key to getting your app, your game trending instantly. My mac was acting up during the webinar and I wanted to pass on my knowledge to the group when we were trying to kill time. Hope this contribution helps! ~Cheers ED
