Self Hosted Over Air Distribution for iOS

Hi, I've recently started using the Self Hosted Buzztouch server to make apps. I've managed to make the app in the control panel, and get it up an running on the Over Air Distribution for Android devices, however I can't seem to get the iOS version to work. I'm using Xcode 5, and I've signed up as an Apple iOS Developer. I've setup a provisioning profile and I can get the app to work on the phone I've added as a device to my Developer profile, but if I try and change the provisioning profile, or install the app on a different phone, it doesn't work. I noticed on the Over The Air Distribution page, under iOS Required Files, that it says this will only work on devices I register the UDID for, which I'm assuming is my problem. Is there a way round this, to use Over Air Distribution for iOS devices, or is the Apple App Store the only way to go? Thanks Darren

Here's one of Smug's great PDFs. You might already be following this, though. https://www.buzztouch.com/files/howtos/BTOTA.pdf

Hi Darren, Interestingly, I was working with OTA and Ad Hoc distribution yesterday. I haven't been through Smug's PDF which Thomas has suggested (which I'm assuming, is marvellous as always) - I followed the instructions in the Apple Dev Site. I think it's relatively simple if your app is disconnected from the BT server (as my project was / is). You just need an adhoc provisioning profile certificate which includes the UDIDs of all of the devices you wish to install on. This is the essential part. And do remember that you can only add 100 devices in any one membership year with the Apple Developer Programme. Once you have the new adhoc prov profile, open it in Xcode and sign your app with it. Then archive the app as normal. Then distribute the archived app (via Xcode's organizer) for Ad Hoc distribution. You'll then have generated an ipa file which you can send to users. The user must then open the ipa file in their iTunes on their machine and select install to their device (remembering that this device must have a UDID that's included in the original adhoc prov profile). Hope that makes sense and do let me know how you get on!
