Tabbed Layout...how to return 2 it?

I re-created my app to a tabbed layout. However, when I visit a menu from one of the tabs and choose a screen, I am happy until I return to the main home screen...no tabs are there. I visited a few threads from back in the day about this issue, but it was not solved for the old Buzztouch(2.0). Does anyone have any aha's or light bulbs, or bright ideas about how to make the home screen appear again WITH the tabbed layout in an existing session without restarting the whole app?

I haven't seen this personally, but I've heard of some people having weird result in tabbed layouts if they change or delete a screen that's on one of the tabs. Try this... Change your app to non-tabbed, by deleting all the tabs in the "Layout" menu, and setting a temporary home screen in the non-tabbed layout. Then change back to a tabbed layout, adding one single tab at a time. Let us know what happens. -Chris

I agree with Chris. I don't use tabs often, but when I'm fooling around with them, it has always served me well to remove the tab config completely before trying a different arrangement. Cheers! -- Smug

This is what I did because I needed the Tabs to be available when a user needed them. I faked another home screen by creating a menu that included all the tab links. I kept the tab layout, however, when the user clicks on one of the original tabs, it brings up the tab's corresponding menu screen at first. Then when they click on something in that menu screen, I made it so that the right button sent the user to the new menu and put the same picture icons at the bottom as the tab screen, so it looks just like the home screen, but just the background shows. That way, they can still navigate throughout the app without getting lost in the single screens. This fake home screen is accessible in all the right button navigations of the screens in the app.
