Who provides Safari/Mavericks Push Notifications?

Hi everyone, A little off topic, but... With the release of OS X Mavericks and Safari 7.0, push notifications have moved from the mobile device to the computer. The problem is I haven't been able to find companies who are providing this service, and I wan't to be able to Push to the desktop! From looking around I've found: PushWoosh says they do, and I tried to integrate their service and it didn't work. http://www.pushwoosh.com/programming-push-notification/safari/safari-website-notifications/ It doesn't even seem to work on their own website either. Push.io says its coming: http://push.io/blog/announcing-safari-notifications/ I can't pay $100 per month though. Scringo Tweeted me back today saying they're looking in to this service, and this would be great. The Scringo guys are awesome! Anyone who has integrated Scringo knows how easy it is to use their stuff, and they've always been responsive to their users. I really hope they do this. Does anyone here know if there is anyone else providing this service? P.S. If you have Mavericks and want to check it out, try MacRumors.com to see how it works: http://www.macrumors.com/push/

This could be perfect for the Buzztouch forums!

I finally got Safari Push Notifications to work with PushWoosh! I used the PushWoosh "live" .js (http://www.pushwoosh.com/wp-content/themes/pushwoosh/js/safari.push.js) as a guide rather than what they have on their instruction page. I don't know if there is a slight difference in the code, but it works for me now! Their main instructions are here: http://www.pushwoosh.com/programming-push-notification/safari/safari-website-notifications/ If you want to check it out and let me know if it works the website is here: http://www.kozmoweb.com I promise I won't "Push" you to death! Best, -William

Here's a link to a screenshot of the Safari Preferences Notification screen with the Push permissions: http://www.kozmoweb.com/clientuploads/apps/Safari-Push.png William

Glad it worked for you. I'm now thinking of doing it on my site. What kind of content do you send (or plan to send) through the push notification service?

I hope to use it for general news announcements, like when a new app is release or a milestone is reached.
