I haven't heard anything about those packages yet. So far as I know, they're still stuck in 2011! You should be able to find Mavericks in the Mac App Store. Mark

Xcode 5.0.1 and mavericks working well together... Doesn't automatically transform you into a better developer though!

Been using the Mavericks developer preview for a few months now... no issues with Xcode or anything else programming related. The only issue I've had at all, and even after updating to the Mavericks Retail version from the DP, if anyone uses XBMC as a media server, you might want to hold off on upgrading to Mavericks. XBMC hasn't released a stable version that works with Mavericks yet. There are some patched work arounds and alphas (nightly builds) out there that kind of work, if you tweak it enough... but nothing completely stable yet. I use XBMC to run my entire home theater media network in my home... 4 TV's in 4 rooms... Luckily I only use XBMC on my mac for the bedroom TV, all other rooms have their own dedicated hardware boxes with XBMC preinstalled, and are not affected by the new Mavericks update (hardware boxes are powered by android jellybean). I used XBMC to completely get rid of my cable bill over a year ago, and never looked back. I have XBMC tied to a 2TB networked drive, and basically have every show and movie I could think of on demand, and it's setup to automatically download any new episodes of what I watch immediately after they air. Pretty cool stuff... but if you use it on your Mac, keep in mind the Mavericks update will break it, and it requires some patching and work arounds to get it cobbled together until they release a stable version thats Mavericks compatible.

After a day of use and submitting an app mavericks and xcode 5.0.1 seem to be improved - I'm no longer getting crashes when there are memory problems - xcode simply notifies me

Hello everyone! Good day. I would like to ask your opinion. The situation is this - I use for iMac 21.5-inch, 8 GB of memory, the end of 2012, OS X 10.8.5. also installed Xcode Version 5.0.1 (5A2053) ADT Build: v22.2.1-833290 The question svzm with an update on OS X 10.9 Mavericks how to upgrade so as not to have to reinstall the ADT and Xcode and configure them again. Thank you for your help.

I have not yet tried to upgrade to Mavericks. also, i do not have ADT. I expect no problems in your situation. You should be okay to upgrade to Mavericks without harming your other installations of ADT and Xcode. Check Apple Discussion forum to really be sure. Also, check your search engines. -- Niraj

Looks like Mavericks messes up Java a bit. After upgrading to Mavericks, I tried to launch Eclipse, and it said I needed to install Java. I downloaded the JDK from Oracle, installed it, and it didn't work. Then I went to this page, downloaded and installed, and all was good! http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1572?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US Mark

I just installed Mavericks the other day and i must say, I am using my mid-2010 macbook pro with only 4GB of RAM and Xcode has sped up a decent amount for me. When i launched Eclipse after the update it only said I needed to install java, but before the java installed i was prompted for a password for the update. Any ideas what this is about anyone? Jeremy
