Android Studio Security Alert: Update to Android Studio 2.1.1

Is it safe to update to 2.1.1? I have still AS 1.5 installed and every time I update to higher version, I got tons of errors.

I can't imagine that any errors would be attributed to the Android Studio package. Granted, it does things a little differently, and so the approach needs to be modified a little, but for the most part, I'm starting to embrace Android Studio a little more each time I work with it. Android just seems to be a little less forgiving. But it's a great opportunity to expand our knowledge each time we work with it. I'm always discovering something I didn't know before. They 'should' be able to co-exist (although I haven't tried it) so perhaps you can try the new version while keeping a version you are comfortable with...? Cheers! -- Smug

I had reinstall as it would not update to new version. I'm running in a few problems with the emulator that I'm trying to work out. LA

I had to update my emulators too... although I didn't have a problem with them before. I thought they're faster than the old eclipse emulators, because they've moved to a different codebase. Are you on a Mac or a Windows box? Could be the JRE version? Cheers! -- Smug
