For those who only have Windows system, You can use a mac online for Iphone apps!

Hello, I thought I would let everyone know that there is an option online for those of us who want to develop Iphone apps. It's called www.macincloud.com. They let you use actual macs online with Xcode included so you can compile your code! That way you can get an Apple Developer account and do what you want to do. I think it's 3 hours a day for a week for $12 and up to 50 dollars or so per month. But they have lotsa options to get on there. Must have a high speed connection tho. Cheers!

I'm curious... Is it 'your' mac, so to speak? I wonder how they keep certificates and things in your keystore...? Cheers! -- Smug

Is there any way you can buy and download a "Mac os x" and run it in a virtual machine on Windows? I mean I know you can, really I want to know if it's legal because I want to be safe.

I was looking into this also and it gives you your own mac server with 5gb storage or something, I think it would be a good way to get started without a mac. @Yenaeal would you say its worth the subscription fee from what you have experienced so far?

@CMCOFFEE - I looked into what you proposed, and doing that violates the Apple Terms of Service for Xcode. It actually has to be run on Apple branded hardware. I don't know how diligently they pursue people who violate the TOS, but Apple is the last company that I want to mess with if I'm trying to publish apps with them! Mark

Make sure you get a Mac that is new enough to run the latest OS/Xcode. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5444?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US Trading/Buying PC's? The usual... Ebay, Craigs List... Buyer beware. :) Cheers! -- Smug

Sadly, Apple doesn't make a 17" MacBook anymore... I sold mine to partially pay for my new MacBook 13" But I use an external monitor on mine, so that I have a dual monitor setup that works choice. Cheers! -- Smug

Appbuilder like they said it was slow and drove me crazy.LOL. Macincloud persists that you must have 500Mbs high speed internet access. Mine was the 100 and they don't recommend using it at slow speeds, that's why it lags.Plus didn't get the app developer id yet. But they still allow you to do the App certificate.
