Not able to view screens or menus from my device?

Hello I created an app and even though I created a menu I am not able to see it with the mobile device or the emulator?

Hello, I was able to fix the problem with the Menu not showing up but now I was wondering how often do we have to recreate the app.apk file for the droid. Do we have to recreate it every time we add a new app or every time we make a change to the app? also do we have to re upload it to the control panel each time? Thanks

The 'app.apk' is your application. When you make a change to your code, you need to recompile the APK to reflect the most recent change. Cheers! -- Smug

If your droid is connected to your computer via USB cable, and you're compiling from within the development environment, then you're compiling your apk and transferring to the device in one move. Each time you press 'Run' you will be compiling a new apk and transferring it to your device. If you're going to distribute, you typically will export your APK. Cheers! -- Smug

Ok but I am running the self hosted version and I noticed that when I click on "Publish Changes" the changes are made on all devices and they are not connected via USB. I never have to upload another app.apk they just get the update?

The App auto-updates every time you make a change on the BuzzTouch Control Panel. That is a purposeful and very useful feature. You have just realized the remote control capability! -- Niraj

Thank you so much Niraj So I do not need to recompile the app.apk each time correct? Also I am having another problem, anytime I create a new screen it does not show up in the app unless I add it to the main Menu, is it suppose to work like that? That is not what I see in the videos.

Oh ok. I see where you're going with this (now), lol! Sorry about that. The BT_Config.txt file is updated each time the app starts up, providing the network connection is there. The changes you make 'in the BT Control Panel' will automatically be updated in your apps 'design config' always, and the live config is updated when you 'publish' it. No app recompile needed (unless you add new plugins that were not included in the download package) The changes you make 'in your java/eclipse code' need to be recompiled before you see changes, and if you add a plugin that is not already included in the package, you may need to download another package, or add the plugin manually. Sorry if I confused you, and misinterpreted the question. Cheers! -- Smug
