Lern to Code Resources - The Kapor Center Coding Landscape Database

The Kapor Center has collected information on 300+ programs or software that teach youth and adults elements of computer science and coding. This is not an exhaustive list, as this field is rapidly growing. As stated in the introduction, we’re hoping that the larger community will help us to frequently update this list as programs continue to launch. http://kaporcenter.org/coding-nation/

Interesting....is this your business? I would think Buzztouch would be on this list ranking number #1.

This list is more about learning how to code than a listing of app engines. Though Buzztouch is good for that too.

That Center is founded by Mitch Kapor, one of the greats. He is amongst the great giants upon whose shoulders we stand for modern computing. A quick excerpt of Mitch's achievements: Mitch founded Lotus Development Corporation and designed Lotus 1-2-3, the “killer application” which made the personal computer ubiquitous in the business world in the 1980s. He is the co-founder of The Electronic Frontier Foundation, which protects freedom and privacy on the Internet and the founding chair of the Mozilla Foundation, creator of the open source web browser Firefox. He is also a founding investor in Linden Lab, maker of the first successful virtual world, Second Life. I applaud folks such as Mitch and Steve Wozniak, they don't hunker down with the money. Instead, they keep trying in their own ways to moving that computing ball forward for the un-educated. Good find! -- Niraj

I was just listening to Abundance by Peter Diamandis. Kapor gets mentioned in there a couple of times. www.amazon.com/Abundance-Future-Better-Than-Think/dp/1451614217/
