Lost all functions today

My compiled apps lost all their functions today. Loads on in iOS sim, running Xcod3 4.6.3. But then none of my buttons are working - did work before. Read that BT are upgrading some code - is this why?

Probably not. Usually David will test on another server, and when it filters down to use, he'll 'throw a switch' for the transition. Do you mean 'All' of your apps, as in 'multiple titles', or all of your apps as in 'all installed copies of one particular app' ? What does your logs say? Cheers! -- Smug

Either development environment (Xcode, Eclipse) while running your app will have a logged output, usually at the bottom of your User Interface. GoNorthWest wrote a bit of 'how to' for it here: https://www.buzztouch.com/files/howtos/Problem_Reporting_and_Basic_Debug_v1.0.pdf And Chris1 wrote a nifty little guide on some advanced troubleshooting here (although it probably doesn't immediately apply to your issue) https://www.buzztouch.com/files/howtos/exception%20debugging%20how-to.pdf But the GNW guide should point you in the right direction... The app will let you know what happens when you do things... you'll just need to trace the app flow and find out what isn't triggering. Take a quick read and see if you can get your logging output to give you a hint as to what's happening. That will help you go a long way now and in the future when you're debugging your apps. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/nr2trei2hadoo2g/sotP25QZP- This link has the screenshots of the simulator and the debug screen. Would really appreciate some help on this as I can't figure it out.

Ok, well of course you know something isn't right. Looking at the simulator image, with blank screen and empty toolbar, I can tell you one thing: There is an issue with your home screen 'class' file being called. 1) Make sure that the plugin being used is actually there. 2) Make sure that the spelling of the class file in your BT_config.txt file matches the classname of the file. 3) Make sure the screen you're using as a home screen is 'eligible'. If you're using a menu plugin, make sure that plugin actually exists within the project. Or HTMLDoc, or whatever it happens to be. Make sure that if your BT_config.txt file is looking for 'Cr_menu_advanced' that it exists, and that the class is exactly the same, with no change of case or spelling. Or whatever plugin you're using. Some screens are not 'display' screens, like Device Settings and things like that. You should only use display screens as home screens, not 'control' screens. Now that BT allows you to 'select' plugins to download with your project, all plugins may not be available to you if you make changes. If you create a project, download it, then add a different plugin later, that plugin 'may not' have been downloaded with your project. If this is the case, and the 'missing' plugin is your home screen, you'll see a result exactly like your screen shot image of the simulator. Cheers! -- Smug

Hi and thanks Smug I fixed it, but it was the plugins that I was copying over incorrectly into Xcode that was the problem. As soon as I copied them over correctly, everything started working again. Thanks for all your help, it narrowed it down for me. Ren
