Older Xcode Version For Now

I have deleted Xcode 5 and I'm trying to reinstall Xcode 4.6.3. for now and I keep getting "disk image couldn't be opened, image not recognized" Tried to open with disk utility and nothing.

Pop on the Apple Developer website to download the previous versions. Type in xcode into the search field. https://developer.apple.com/downloads/index.action

Hi Thomas, the link you have provided is exactly where I downloaded the older version 4.6.3. When I go to install the .dmg file onto my laptop, I get a message: "disk image couldn't be opened, image not recognized". The file is "not mounted" and is "read only". I don't know how to use the disk utility restore feature on my machine and frankly, I worry I will damage files in hd.

Try deleting the Xcode 5 files completely. You could maybe try using an even older version of Xcode.

Can I ask why you have deleted xcode 5 rogue wave. It is better to develop on up to date compilers.
