Setting up Custom Events for analytics

I’d like to track a few things in my BT project…at a high level 1. Name of Screens viewed 2. Item in list or button on screen pressed 3. Successful IAP completed. Yeah, lets go with that as a start. My assumption is that pretty much any analytics tool tracks events in similar way…but for it to recognize the info you need to pass to it 2 pieces of data: 1. event name (e.g. ViewedScreen, ClickedButton, CompletedPurchase) …likely a static name I give it. 2. event data (e.g. ScreenName, ButtonName, PurchasedProduct) …likely a dynamic name given by the app/screenData etc. Now…this is where I need some help. How do I create these events in Xcode.? I assume they’ll be done within the relevant plugin m files, but can you give examples of how to form the line of code? here is how different packages format their line AskingPoint: [APManager addEventWithName:andData:] Flurry: [Flurry logEvent:@"Article_Read" withParameters:articleParams timed:YES]; GA: [tracker sendEventWithCategory:@"uiAction" withAction:@"buttonPress" withLabel:buttonName withValue:[NSNumber numberWithInt:100]]; so I see the pattern is the same… but I just don’t know what to use for the data/param . Any analytics gurus in the house? thanks again €

Both are GREAT. App Annie is also really really cool, have you checked that out? Yup - sorry for the late month response! David https://buzztouchmods.com/market

I don't think so (all store reporting like you said), depends on what analytics your going for I guess! David https://buzztouchmods.com/market
