Wish there was a way that I could set my default screens page to list view instead of grid view in the control panel. Once you get beyond 6 screens…the grid view becomes less useful. I’m working on an app with >100 screens right now. and the extra click from grid to list is annoying. Also..in grid view I can’t ‘open in new tab’…which is another efficiency booster in list view.

Go to the following file: your-buzztouch-installation/bt_v15/bt_app/bt_screens.php On line 30 you see this: $viewStyle = fnGetReqVal("viewStyle", "gridView", $myRequestVars); change this to: $viewStyle = fnGetReqVal("viewStyle", "listView", $myRequestVars); That should do it! Hey Danny, speaking of the default view... on my self hosted server, nothing happens when I use the search, or try to sort the list view by clicking the category link. Any ideas what might cause that? On a side note, one change I'd like to see to the screen view section on self hosted is the "group by type" button. For some reason it's on the BT server, but not on the self hosted server. Comes in handy for me, since my app is about 10% done, and I already have over 200 screens, using about a dozen different plugins.

@PSMDanny Thank you, I knew that it was possible to change to the list view automatically, and I needed that, but not so badly so as to actually look into the code... and there you go, just popping it up. Very nice and very useful.

Hi Dusko, Yep, you understood the problems correctly... but what I meant is, when I do exactly what you mentioned, they don't work. After entering the search term and clicking the search button, nothing happens. Nothing attempts to load. When viewing in list view, when I click on the category names, nothing attempts to load, and nothing sorts.

Hey Ninja, did you download the latest version? What I try to tell is, is that v2.1.9 from 3 weeks ago can be slightly different from the one from yesterday? I just tested. Search works, sorting works!! Best Regards, Danny

Could be the issue... I installed 2.19 a few weeks ago, but I see what you're saying about potential changes to the 2.19 package. It's nothing major for me (yet), so I'll see what happens when 3.0 rolls out, since I'll be installing that anyway. I should also mention that I haven't had a chance to test those two functions in a different browser yet... could just be a weird Chrome thing.
