Recommended hardware for Xcode, planning on Mac mini

I'm a PC/Android guy but want to develop in IOS, greater market share. Can someone give me some decent specs of hardware/OS version I would need. Thinking of a mac mini. Thanks in advance.

One of the last 2 models of Mac Mini would be perfect. For a more complete review of Mac Gear, you can listen to Episode 13 of the Buzzcast podcast (its a little outdated, but if you're looking for best bang-for-the buck, there's some good tips in there) http://idevdepot.com/episode13/ -Chris

The biggest thing is to make sure that it support OS X Mountain Lion, so you can get the latest version of Xcode. There are many Mac mini's out there that only support Snow Leopard, and that'll leave you only being able to compile for older versions of iOS, which is super frustrating. A new Mac OS X - Mavericks - is coming out in October, so it would be nice it it could support that as well. Basic rule...newer is better! And no mini's based on the PPC chip...only Intel. Mark
