etsdesign Aspiring developer Posts: 19 Reg: May 12, 2013 Gaithersburg, m... 1,440	confirm \| cancel 09/25/13 08:31 PM (12 years ago) Xcode simulator problem Hello, I'm having a quirky problem that wasn't a problem until I upgraded to Xcode 5.0...so I hope that someone has an answer for me! I'm using location maps to identify specific areas within the city of Philadelphia. When the user clicks on a location name, (s)he is presented with the location (pin) on the map, the location name and can then click the "i" to be taken to a .pdf file that explains the significance of that site. so here's my dilemma: When the user clicks the "i", I get an error message (within the simulator) that says "Data for this screen has not been downloaded. Please check your internet connection." I click the "OK" button and a blank .pdf document appears with the correct filename at the top. This all worked well in the last version of Xcode...but not now. ANY help is greatly appreciated! I had the same issue, to solve it I had to delete the PDF screen, take off the pin on the map and start again. Don't ask me what happened there but it worked. Have you got the same issue on a device? Mark, I'll check the debug console and get back to you this evening (I'm currently traveling). Farcat, these pdf documents were always uploaded from my machine. I have over 50 of them, so I'm hoping that I don't have to start from scratch with each of the sites. If I do have to start over, I certainly will...but I'm hoping not. Again, thank you both so much. I'm very, very new (and totally "green") to this. I absolutely love the Buzztouch environment and only wish that I was more confident and comfortable with it. All in good time, I hope!
