Android 3.0 Menu with Image: appDelegate cannot be resolved

This is my first attempt at using Android 3.0. When I imported my BT code, I got 9 total errors, but they all appear like they're coming from the same place: the WB_screen_menuImage.java file. 8 errors say "testingmenuwithimage_appDelegate cannot be resolved" in various lines of that file. The last error says "The declared package "com.testingmenuwithimage" does not match the expected package "com.myapp". I found a related thread: http://www.buzztouch.com/forum/thread.php?tid=777E8B15593995BAB2C2428&command=isSearching&currentPage=1&topicTitle=menuwithimage&createdBy=&repliedBy=&minViews=-1&maxViews=-1&minReplies=-1&maxReplies=-1&forumCategory= And tried the suggestion to replace testingmenuwithimage with "minplan", but that didn't seem to make a difference. Any thoughts? This is from a BT code package that I downloaded earlier this afternoon.

In my first couple of Android 3.0 downloads, some of my 'appDelegate' statements were incorrect; some were in upper case, some were in lower case. Changing those whose case was incorrect fixed my issue. Is yours like this, or something different? Cheers! -- Smug

Thanks for the response Smug! All of these statements in the WB_screen_menuImage.java file have the same case: "testingmenuwithimage_appDelegate". Since they are all the same, I'm not sure what I should change them to..."testingMenuWithImage_appDelegate"? Something else? Apologies for the silly question, I'm in unfamiliar territory.

The name of your app should preceed '_appDelegate'. So, if your App Name was 'peterj' then it 'should' be named 'peterj_appDelegate'. It's case sensitive. If it says anything 'other' than your app name (namely, if your app isn't named 'testingmenuwithimage'), it should be changed to reflect the correct name, in the correct case. Cheers! -- Smug

Hey peterj, this is a bug in the menu with image plugin that will be solved in the next update as Susan told me. The fix is pretty easy: replace testingmenuwithimage with your app name. So if your app is called peterjapp, you should change "testingmenuwithimage_appDelegate" to "peterjapp_appDelegate" in all spots where you have errors in your manifest file.

Smug! Thank you! My app name was definitely not "testingwithmenuimage". Once I changed the 8 instances of that to my app name (and changed the package name), all of the errors went away. Doing that created two "warnings" - I'll start another thread if I need to but wonder if it's related to the changes I just made. Same file, same warning, twice, "This Handler class should be static or leaks might occur (com.my app.WB_screen_menuImage.1)", and then the same thing but for menuImage.2. Lines 733 and 780. Thanks again for quick response and great help!
