Basically you have two options: 'Local' file or 'Hosted on a server', requiring network connection. Let's say you're using the wordDoc plugin. In your wordDoc screen control panel, you enter 'either' a filename (for the local file) OR you enter a URL for the hosted file. Not both. If you're using a hosted file, make sure the filename is correct, and in the location the URL is pointing to in your plugin control panel 'dataURL' field. If you're using a local file, make sure the filename is correct, and is 'added' to your project, usually added to 'BT_Docs'. Make sure you remember to check the 'copy' box in the dialog. "If" you have done this, and done this correctly, then when the screen appears in your app, it should automatically load the file (iPhone) or provide a button in which to open the file (android). If the file is local, you should not need a network connection. Cheers! -- Smug

You may have uploaded the file into the BuzzTouch server. That is only step 1. Then you should decide if the file will be updated after the app is published. If it has a chance of being updated, then you should reference it by the URL (as explained by Smug). However, for files (docs and images) that rarely change, drag them into your Xcode Project to be a permanent part of the app. I explained this slightly different than Smug to give your another nudge to the light bulbs exploding above your head. :-) -- Niraj

cheers for the help guys. i have done all i can, i have followed the steps i know and then when that failed i have followed what you suggested. the problem is that it doesn't matter wether it is URL or project image, on my simulator it says every time check your internet connection, even though its the project image i am using. i am not even using internet! but on top off all that i have internet! ah! don't get it!. I have totally hit an all time low in x code and buzztouch, any diagnosis would be grateful as i am enjoying creating but this is a downer :) but thanks for help so far. much appreciated. lorn
