Map in Android looks weird? See picture.

Was compiling another Android app as usual and suddenly my map screen looks weird and does not work - any idea why? http://s12.postimg.org/mopdy2m99/device_2013_09_15_091838.png Compiled with 2.1.8 server and plugins. Nothing new. David https://buzztouchmods.com/market

Do you have all the appropriate keys in place, as you normally need for the Buzztouch v2 Android apps?

No I don't think so, is there an updated guide? I tried to do that a while back but I think the guide was outdated or google was not giving out new API keys. Thanks Mark. David

I think you may need the new core for maps because Google stopped giving the API Keys for the old maps.

Is your project using the new Android v3 code? Or the old stuff? If the new stuff, then you need to grab an Google Maps for Android v2 key from Google, and put that value in your manifest file. You'll need the SHA1 fingerprint from your signing key (release or debug). I haven't written up a tutorial with it yet. But make sure you follow the instructions that David included with the package, because you need to integrate Google Play Services.

Yes Google Play and don't forget to enable it in the Google API's console. I had everything done except that and worked perfectly after that!

See Smug's tutorial in the How To's. It will take you through it.

Did you sort this out - I've had this problem for ages and can't resolve it (though if you click on the pin it does fire up the map)
