Android 3.0 Eclipse problems

Hi there, been a while, but into Eclipse/Android again and having problems with the new 3.0 Android Version of Buzztouch. I am selfhosted, downloaded the newest android source code and imported it into the newest Eclipse and all updates on the Android SDK Manager. Tried some Google Apis and it seems that Google API 11 is the one with the least errors with a total of 4. Maybe some Android Expert could help me with my 4 errors as I cant start the emulator without deleting these errors: http://www.appkingz.de/images/androidprobs.png Would really appreciate any tips to solve this.

Hey @Leon, One problem is in your manifest it reads like this: android:configChanges="keyboardHidden|orientation|screenSize" If you take the "screenSize" out then it works, like this: android:configChanges="keyboardHidden|orientation" Not sure what's going on with it. LA

that takes the 2 errors out but gives 3 warnings. Not sure if that is a good solution.

Try changing to Android 3 instead of Google 3 and also import google play services. LA

That doesnt change anything. I think this is a major issue, as this should actually work for all Buzztouch users or not? I mean, I only have some basic plugins as it is a very basic app, trying to get it running on Eclipse with the 3.0 version! Maybe David can take a look at this?

I think it should be Android 4.0 not Google APi's 3.0 as in your screenshots

that makes the sethomebutton error disappear. Should it not just work like the Howto´s from the past versions with google api 2.2 etc..?? If not, what are the API levels and things that have to be done??

You won't be able to follow the how-to from the previous version. You want Android 3.0 or higher. There shouldn't be any errors when you first import the project.

I know there should not be any errors but as you can see there are! I do not believe I did anything wrong and as there is no manual I can read, what to do??

shame on me! Thought installing the google play stuff in my sdk manager would be enough... With a closer look and following Smug´s instructions everything is cool: http://www.buzztouch.com/forum/thread.php?tid=F87D29BA17032DE4EF7DBDE Thx to everyone for helping here!
