Scringo IOS

Hey everyone, Alright I successfully got Scringo to come up in my IOS simulator, but it will not recognize me as an user. I put the code in with my id. I even tried logging in but no luck. Any suggestions? LA

Hi Adam, Which code? I finally signed up as a user but shouldn't scringo recognized me as the developer? Also having problems with facebook integration. LA

When I click on fb, I get this error: Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'com.facebook.sdk:InvalidOperationException', reason: 'FBSession: No AppID provided; either pass an AppID to init, or add a string valued key with the appropriate id named FacebookAppID to the bundle *.plist' *** First throw call stack: (0x4241012 0x370ee7e 0x42c9fb1 0x1dc482 0x1dc360 0x1dc2d1 0x1dd5cf 0x108a0d 0x108a50 0x109ec8 0xfebe0 0x15f0be 0x3722705 0x42e920 0x42e8b8 0x4ef671 0x4efbcf 0x4eed38 0x6f2213 0x4209afe 0x4209a3d 0x41e77c2 0x41e6f44 0x41e6e1b 0x419b7e3 0x419b668 0x42b65c 0x4b2b6 0x33e5 0x1) libc++abi.dylib: terminate called throwing an exception (lldb) but I did do this in the plist as shown below: <key>CFBundleURLTypes</key> <array> <dict> <key>CFBundleURLSchemes</key> <array> <string>fbmyidnumberhere</string> </array> </dict> </array> LA

I sent you a message. What do you mean recognized by developer? The developer controls happen in the Scringo control panel. Thanks, Adam

I set up the code correctly, but I don't know what you did previously to the code, so I have no idea where the error is coming from. Thanks, Adam

@LA - did you create a Facebook app and integrate FB framework into your iOS project? Here's the FB integration steps from Scringo that can be found at this link: +++++++++ https://dev.scringo.com/resources.php Add FB SDK to your project Starting with Scringo 2.3.x, it is required to add the Facebook SDK to your project as well. If you haven't done so already, you should follow these steps: 1. Download and install the Facebook SDK for iOS. 2. Add the FacebookSDK.framework from the SDK installation folder into your project . 3. (Required when using version of Facebook SDK before 3.6) Add the FacebookSDKResources.bundle file from the FacebookSDK.framework/Resources folder (inside the Facebook SDK installation folder) into your project. Please refer to https://developers.facebook.com/docs/getting-started/facebook-sdk-for-ios to learn more about adding Facebook SDK to your app. ++++++++++ This should take care of the FB error you are seeing. Also, you need to test on your iOS device, not the simulator and you need to have the FB app on your device and be logged in to FB app in order for the FB login to work in Scringo in your app. Hope that helps. Craig

What was the issue and the fix? Just might be helpful for others to know and I am curious as well. Glad you got it working. Good luck with the approval process. Cheers Craig

Hey @Craig Conover, With the help of Tony @buzztouch, I got it running and on the IOS simulator! There were a few things: 1. Take your App out of sandbox mode in facebook settings. 2. Make sure id's match! 3. Import ALL frameworks, which are titled on Scringo site! 4. Patience lol LA

Yes, the Scringo site has most of what you need to know. Thanks for sharing.

i think you also need this entry in that file, as well: <key>FacebookAppID</key> <string>YOUR_FB_APP_ID_WITHOUT_THE_fb_PREFIX</string> Do you have that in there? Scringo docs link to FB/iOS docs about this: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/ios/getting-started/

And make sure the bundle id in Xcode (your com.mycompany.myapp value) matches the bundle id you use in the FB app setup.
