change app icon?

is it possible to change an app icon without having to re download the source code? I tried replacing the icon.png in eclipse but when i install it on phone it still shows old icon. thanks

Try deleting the old app and installing the new one.

Agree with @Thomas Boyd! Delete default icon and rename your icon with same name as default icon...clean/refresh then there you go! LA

i did uninstall the app and re installed the new one but same icon appears, double checked icon.png in eclipse and its def the new one, dont know why it wont change.

i think it may be because i only changed the one in res drawable. probably need to change the ones in drawable hdpi etc also. will let you know how it goes, sorry just trying to rush and overlooked

I'm great @Mr stuck! How are you? I miss your posts here! @Thomas Boyd: With the new core coming out no. I updated one App in google play and doing the next one now and updating Voice Notes plugin. No worries though, I'm on it! LA

@LA I am just too busy with work to be making many apps at the moment so been a bit quiet, realy need to find more time to make apps but its not easy. @Thomas Boyd, sorry I could not make it for a meet up when you were up this way, it would have been great to have got a cofee but time just did not allow it as was quite busy at the times you were free, perhaps sometime soon though
