Xcode & Objective-C

Are BuzzTouch projects built in Objective-C at all?

You have the option of downloading your BT Package for iOS, which is written in Objective C, so the quick answer is 'Yes, they are'. But you can also download your BT Package for Android, in which case the language used would be Java. Cheers! -- Smug

I take it that it includes Cocoa Touch as well in the Objective-C source code?

And with BuzzTouch, are you able to develope apps for all categories including Enterprise apps in the App Store and Google Play?

Somehow I'm thinking the answer is probably 'yes', but again, can't be sure. I know there's cocoa in there somewhere, but I'm not sure which labels to put on what. :) Besides, I'm a coffee drinker. But you're registered; throw something together and see what downloads. :) Cheers! -- Smug

When you refresh the page without leaving, you double post. "Enterprise" apps? Like Kirk and Spock? ;) If you can build it in Xcode, Buzztouch can help. If you can build it for Android, Buzztouch can help. If you want something that will do it for you, Nothing can help. Buzztouch isn't a framework so much as it is a 'shell'. You can go simple, or you can go complex. A lot of things are done for you. A lot of things aren't. It's dependent on your imagination and your resourcefulness. Throw something together and see what downloads :) Cheers! -- Smug

Oops, sorry about that. You live and learn I guess, right? LOL, I meant for for businesses or corporations but seeing your humor I see that you're a Star Trek fan. What is the difference between Framework and Shell? Sorry, I'm still learning about app development since last year July.

The difference seems to get blurred everyday. When 'I' say framework I'm talking about an environment where you don't actually learn the technology so much as you learn how to manipulate someone else's interface. And although bits of that apply to buzztouch, it's pretty open how you're encouraged to tinker with the actual code, which is the real deal, whether Xcode or Java. More of a 'front end' than a framework. But I tend to say 'Shell' because it's a fully (un)functional app (or, an app shell), and all you have to do is fill it up. A lot of the housekeeping is done for you, without the bloat that comes with some other methods I've seen. Just my opinion. Your mileage may vary. Cheers! -- Smug

@Smug is totally correct with everything he says. Buzztouch gives you a core set of Objective C files that can be used as a basis for any sort of app that you can dream up. Buzztouch has basically done all the hard work for you in putting together an extensible core..it's up to you to expand it as you'd like! They also provide tons of plugins that can be used with minimal configuration if you so choose, providing additional functionality with ZERO coding! Once people realize what Buzztouch is...EVERY app on the planet will start here, from complete novices to advanced programmers who don't want to write the same core code over and over again! Let us know if we can be of any help! Mark

I think I'm STARTING to understand a little more from both of each of your answers. Thank you both for your explanations. I'll have to re-read them again to get a complete understanding of it.
