Eclipse not allowing me to import project.

I have watched the videos mentioned in the form followed the instructions with the download but I cannot get it to work. In Eclipse I go to File->Import->Android->Existing Android Code into Workspace->Next->Browse to my unzipped folder. I can never select the project to import. It shows BT_activity_root under New Project Name. This is grayed out. I click the check box to the left and it will not let me put a green check in it. I have tried two different apps. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not sure if this will help any... I usually do a 'File -> New -> Other -> Android -> Android Project from existing code... I don't select a 'file', I just navigate to the desired directory, and let Eclipse import the files. "BT_Activity_Root" is the default name for all of your projects. I typically change this by selecting the project, 'right-click' and selecting 'refactor -> rename' and rename it whatever... With respect to it being 'greyed out' I haven't seen that. That might indicate that the files are 'read only', and you might want to check that out. Otherwise, check your version of Eclipse. Are you using the 'Juno' release? Is this Windows or Macintosh? Regardless, Mark (GoNorthWest) did a few tutorials on both platforms in his '20 minute tutorial' segments, that show you how to setup your environment for Buzztouch. Look around on his youtube page; www.youtube.com/gonorthwest Good Luck! Stop back by if you're still having issues! Cheers! -- Smug

I finally had time to get back to this problem and I had to reinstall the Android SDK / Eclipse bundle. Thanks for the help. Joe

Well, Hello boys and girls! I'm new to the BT family and thought I would jump right into the frying pan of Android development. Just getting my feet wet. I read that some are starting to use Android Studio and others are working with the older Android SDK/Eclipse bundle. I installed both, but have not determined which is better to work with yet. Is this a personal preference or are some of you seeing better results with one over the other? Doug

For the time being, I'm sticking with Eclipse, because unless there is a definitive move to another solution, 'most' BT'ers will be using eclipse, and any solution found to an issue will most likely be with regards to using Eclipse. But I also have Android Studio installed just in case ;) Cheers! -- Smug
